thats off point though, the issue is items. It didnt allow the customization it said it would, all it did was change WHICH builds were ideal. the synergy system if you ask me was slightly flawed. Diablo 2 has literally been converted into a game of Dos and Donts. Now everything is so standardized and cookie cutter its pretty boring. In my opinion builds were actually MORE interesting because of this. That meant that the 'currency' we see in D2X was not as concrete back then, items were all different and it was up to the user to choose what they were looking for. To be honest, I kind of miss D2classic when rares were the rage. So far I like what I've seen of the crafting system in D3 better, though I think that it could use a few more "rare" crafting materials, and the gems definitely need to be more interesting than what they've shown us so far. So that makes it a less fun mechanic as well. When I first heard about Runewords I thought "Oh maybe they'll make the Runewords pop culture references or something." But no, they're basically just totally random. You basically had to just look them up online. You really needed a Rune mule if you put in serious play time with the game, which was a pain in the butt.Īlso I never liked that Runewords weren't things you could puzzle out for yourself. My biggest problem with Runes in general gameplay-wise is that they took up so much stash space. The way I played was just to play with my friends and trade with them, so for me the best Runewords were always challenging to make. I never traded with the general public, let alone bought any items. Last updated at 14:00:17 UTC Weekly Help Desk RAGE Loot Thread Trade Thread
